I am so thankful that we were able to drive down and spend Thanksgiving with my family.
Steven got off work early on Wednesday so we could beat traffic on the way down to Jacksonville. It is so nice to only be 3 1/2 hours away from home! My mom made Steven's favorite white chicken chili for dinner and was kind enough to watch Charli for us so we could go out on a mini date night. We headed to meet up with a bunch of our friends at Mellow Mushroom at Jax Beach to celebrate the end of Movember (and Thank God its over.)
It was nice to get to see most of my friends and have a few gluten free beers out on the town with my man.
Steven was up at 4AM Thanksgiving morning (after staying out till midnight with me the night before) and headed out to run The Subaru Distance Classic Half Marathon with one of his friends from Monterey (who is now stationed outside of Jax), while I stayed home (and out of the 32 degree weather) with my parents and Charli, drinking mimosas and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. ;)
And Charli already checking out the Black Friday adds with her Nana
We were so very proud of Steven and 'stalked' him on our phones all morning sending him 'cheers' that came through his headset!
This was just a little training he was able to get in during the holiday, for his Marathon that he is running in a couple of months!
Way to go Daddy, we are so proud of you!!
Then it was off to my Aunt and Uncle's house for our first Thanksgiving of the day.
Where we enjoyed
Family...
Running around the yard and barn...
Playing with leaves...
The Food... Of course
And the fire...
Then it was off to my cousins house for Thanksgiving round 2
(unfortunately I never even pulled out my camera or phone, so no pictures)
I would say that Charli's second Thanksgiving was a success!
She did absolutely amazing with a jam packed schedule and only a 20 minute nap in the car in between houses!
We ate
We drank
We laughed
Charli threw up from too much food
We watched football
We ate some more
We drank some more
And most importantly, we spent the day with the people who love us the most!
We truly are thankful!

From our family to yours...
We hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving!
(We sure did!) ;)
Heck yeah - Charli knows what it's all about! Can't get enough of that good Thanksgiving food! (I was known for throwing up after eating too much as a kid too.)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love that Charli comment!! Looks like a great holiday! You guys are seriously the cutest family ever!
