Birchbox: January Delivery:

I am so excited to share with you my new love...
Birchbox!

I have seen so many things going around about Birchbox for over a year and really wanted to get into it myself, but it was honestly just one of those things that I would push off because I really didn't "need" it, even though I loved the idea and thought it would be such a fun little thing to get just for me!

Well, a few weeks ago my husband had a surprise for me!
He remembered me saying things about Birchbox so he took it upon himself to subscribe for me!
I found out about it because I had to fill in the form about my health and beauty and things I would want to receive in my Birchbox!
Can I just say... Best. Husband. Ever!

What is Birchbox?
Birchbox has both a Women's and Men's line and is a monthly delivery of unique, well-known retail items, consisting of health, beauty, grooming, and lifestyle products, that the consumers can try and learn about. They also have a shop that you can purchase said items if you can't get enough of a product you received!
You can go to http://www.birchbox.com/
to learn more if this is something you are also interested in!

So my first box arrived over the weekend and I am in love already!

In The Box:

*100% Pure- Fruit Pigmented Mascara: This is an all-natural lash conditioning mascara hat lengthens and thickens with real fruit pigments! (Am loving this already!)
*Number 4- Super Comb Prep & Protect: This is a sulfate-free leave-in conditioner that safeguards color, strengthens, and nourishes the hair! (Am loving this already too!)
*ORIGINS- Smarty Plants CC SPF 20: This is a face cream using plant extracts and advanced technology to protect and  correct the skin! (Am loving this!)
*Ruby Wing- Nail Polish- Ride 'Em Cowgirl: This is a color changing nail polish that morphs from gold glitter into a sparkly berry hue when in the sun! (I am dying to try this today!)
*Reviver: Dry Deodorant Wipe: This is the first-ever deodorant for your duds! This is a handy clot that whisks away odors from clothes, skin, hair, on contact! This seems like it would be perfect for a "lunch time workout" before heading back to the office, or after a bonfire when you can't get the smoke out of your hair! (Can't wait to try this out either!)

Thanks again to the best hubby ever for surprising me with this monthly love obsession!

Now to go paint my nails! ;)

Weekend Update: A random three day weekend:

This weekend was a three day weekend with daddy that consisted of a lot of relaxing, life, and a little cold weather!

Steven had Friday off, and we spent the morning at Doctor's appointments for both Charli and I
(just checkups).
Charli had her 18 month checkup

To bring you all up to date, little miss weighed in at 31 LBS and was almost 36 INCHES (We sure do have a very tall girl on our hands!) This was the first time we have had a Doctor ask about both Steven and mine's height along with our family's...
I guess Charli is destined to be tall with a daddy who is over 6'2, Aunts and Uncles who range from 6'1 to 6'3, Grandparents and even Great Grandparents who are 5'11 up to 6'2, and even a mommy who is a little above average at 5'6!

The rest of our afternoon consisted of doing lots of shopping and a perfect family lunch date! Then Charli and I took a much needed afternoon nap while Steven went into the office to work a little bit even on his day off. Friday ended with some time playing in the backyard after nap, followed by an amazing Filet Mignon dinner cooked by the hubby!

Saturday morning started with chocolate chip pancakes (my favorite) followed by us braving the freezing weather conditions Downtown for a family walk.

We headed to Fort Moultrie Park and Seawall

After walking through the beautiful park and looking at all of the statues with so much history embedded in them, we headed out to the Seawall to go for a walk along the water

With of course a walk down a cobblestone street

We were only able to get a couple of miles in as it was blistering cold and we had a little lady who started to get chapped cheeks...

So we called it a morning and headed back to some warmth!

The rest of our Saturday was pretty relaxing and consisted of a lot of playing indoors with the fire going!

Sunday was another relaxing kind of day that consisted of...
Church
Nap
Lots of playing inside
A little backyard/dirt time until it got too cold
And dinner

Nothing too crazy, but absolutely perfect in my book!

Now we are preparing for what could be a little 'Charleston Blizzard' mid-week!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend and stayed warm as well!
Happy Monday!

My Style: Black & White:

I absolutely love the look of black & white together. It is probably one of the most classic pairings you could wear, I think.

I am loving this new black and white flannel button up I got from Old Navy yesterday! I had been wanting either a black and white gingham or black and white flannel for some time now, but just hadn't purchased one. Well when I saw this, on sale, plus Old Navy's Military Discount on Mondays... Making this awesome purchase under $9... I couldn't pass it up!

I am sure you will be seeing a lot more of this! :)

Pants: J.Crew | Shirt: Old Navy | Sweater: J.Crew | Shoes: Tory Burch | Necklace: Macy's | Watch: Michael Kors | Link Bracelet: Stella & Dot | Pearl Bracelet: J.Crew

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Weekend Update: The Charleston Marathon:

Friday we were gearing up for The Charleston Marathon and making sure everything was ready for the morning.
We headed to the Expo to get everything for both Steven and Amia

And spent the rest of the day relaxing.

We headed out to Olive Garden for a nice 'carb load' dinner for Steven. This was the first time I have even tried to eat at Olive Garden since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and to my surprise, they had a wonderful Gluten Free menu full with Gluten Free pastas and all (insert happy dance)!
No bread sticks though... But I could still indulge in the amazing salad (always a favorite)!

Steven's brother Amia got in early Friday evening, as he was running in the Marathon with Steven.

Then it was an early bedtime for all as Saturday was going to be a big day!

Saturday morning, the boys were up bright and early, and thanks to Amia's girlfriend being here I didn't have to wake up Charli to take them to the start line, thanks again Sarah!

The boys were off, in the freezing cold, and we were so excited to cheer them on!

We were able to cheer for them at a few different locations with our signs and all...

Don't worry, I made one's that said "Go DADDY Go" and "Go Uncle Amia" too! ;)

Mile 18

Mile 20 and 22

And the Finish Line

I am so incredibly proud of both my husband and brother in law for doing absolutely amazing in their very first Marathon!

Despite the freezing cold weather and wind conditions making it even colder, they were troopers and fought to the very end!

Great job boys!

Way to go Steven, your girls couldn't be more proud of you and all of your hard work and dedication these past couple of months!
We love you!

You could imagine what the rest of our Saturday looked like...
Eating
Napping
Relaxing
Popping Blisters
Sitting
Two boys not moving very much
And heading to bed early!

Sunday we woke up and made pancakes for a certain little one's half birthday, and spent the rest of the morning spending time with Amia and Sarah before they hit the road back to Jax.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing sore muscles and watching the Seahawks win!!
(All of my moms family is from the Pacific Northwest and are huge Seahawks fans, so by default we root for the Seahawks whenever possible!)

Monday was a day full of
Errand Running
Mommy getting to go shopping
Park Time
Backyard Time
Lunch Time
Nap Time
Washing the Car
Wagon Time
More Backyard Time
And Dinner...

We had an amazing weekend and I am still so proud of my husband and his amazing accomplishment!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend as well!
Happy Monday!
