Catching Moments: {7/52}:

*Florida sure knows how to do February right... We have been enjoying the 75-80 degree days for the past couple of weeks which can only mean one thing down here... Bring on the pool days, beach days, and sprinkler days! The kids have been having a blast!

Catching Moments: {6/52}:

*Surprising our babies with the sweetest gift this afternoon and catching the most perfect, purest moment that made my heart crumble into a million pieces. Being a military child is not an easy task and yet they do it with so much love and show me every single day just how strong they are!
"Daddy loves you"!

Our Disney World Vacation: Day 2:

After the very exciting, fun, and exceptionally late night on Day One we knew that a more low key day was in order {because day 3 was going to be another busy day and late night}. So staying at the resort and enjoying the amenities is what was decided. This was something we both agreed on as we felt it would be really great for the kids.

We woke up, had breakfast, and we spent the entire day enjoying things that were offered right outside our door. We checked out the clubhouse, golf course, as well as played a round of putt putt golf that they had to offer!

After a little family friendly competition and some lunch we checked out all three of the heated pools on the property to see which would be the best to spend our time at for the rest of the afternoon. The one with the waterfall & slide trumped the others, and it had the cabana bar which was noted! ;)

The weather was absolutely perfect that day. It was a nice, crisp, almost 80 degree January day. The kids were ready to splash around as soon as we got there! They truly had such an amazing day swimming & playing!

We ended our second day with a dinner and show at Medieval Times. This was something Steven came up with and I found it very cheesy when discussing it... "ummmm ok, watching knights and eating with our hands honey? no thank you". Just not my thing. He reassured me that the kids would find it absolutely mesmerizing "having dinner in a 'real' castle" "watching horses and knights right in front of us, live". I obliged and I am actually shocked to say I am so happy that I did! We got military tickets at the MWR which not only saved money but getting the military tickets gives you a free upgrade to the "royalty" seats.

The kids had the best time, ate ALL their dinner, yelled for our knight like crazy, got swords to take home, and the best part... Walking over the moat to get into the castle!

I was so against this at the beginning but this is something I would highly recommend if you have children and are near a Medieval Times. It seriously was so much fun and it was the perfect ending to our Disney World Vacation Day two!

Our Disney World Vacation: Day 1:

We have been wanting to take the kids to Disney World for a couple of years now but have always struggled with the "perfect timing". Between their ages and the Florida heat we wanted to make sure that we were all prepared when we did finally decide to go. Well, I am happy to report that we finally bit the bullet and took the kids on their very first Walt Disney World Vacation!

Steven had some time off after Charli's "winter break" and it was the perfect time to take advantage of a family trip, so off we went. The weather was amazing, the crowds were minimal, and the kids are really at the absolute perfect ages to do something like this. It was truly the most magical four days for our family and we are already planning our next trip!

We arrived to our resort Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club and mommy was able to sneak in to the condo to put a few surprises on the kids beds before they headed up with Daddy! I love trying to make everything extra special for them and I knew a few fun goodies upon arrival would do just the trick!

After a quick freshening up, we were off on our very first Disney Day! One thing Steven and I wanted to make sure of was that we were not "jam packing our days" and truly trying to "relax & enjoy" {if thats even possible with Disney} each moment that we were going to experience. We never rushed anything and just let the kids take it all in. We headed to Magic Kingdom first and it was the most wonderful thing to witness. The kids were mesmerized with everything and the best part was upon walking into the park, a parade was starting. They saw every single character which made it all truly so perfect and even more magical than we could have ever hoped!

We spent the rest of our time at Magic Kingdom walking around and taking in the sights, watching all of the "pop up shows" on the streets, going on a few rides such as It's a Small World, Ariel, Buzz Lightyear, Go Carts & Dumbo, and meeting Minnie & Daisy.

One thing we did that I would highly recommend is packed our own snacks & drinks in a cooler bag. Disney can get super expensive super fast, and especially with my dietary needs, it was nice knowing I had things I could eat or snack on. Our kids are used to this {mommy ALWAYS has all the snacks on trips, and again it's mainly because of my issues but it has really benefited in so many other ways} so they actually never even asked to go into a restaurant or snack bar. I actually also recommend doing the little surprise gifts in the hotel upon arrival because the kids could care less about the gift shops because they already had their "new things".

When we left Magic Kingdom we decided to head over to Hollywood studios for just a bit to end our first night. We got there at sunset and just enjoyed walking around the streets and grabbing a couple of cocktails to cheers that we made it through our first day #parentlife. The kids got to meet Sophia The First & Jake from Jake and The Neverland Pirates while we were there which made for the perfect end to their very first day!

Disney Day 2 will be coming up soon!

Valentine's "cards" 2018:

Valentine's Day is just a couple days away and if you haven't had time to make it to the store to grab Valentine's for your kids to hand out at school or a play date, I've got you covered!

My kids love handing out Valentine's to their friends, who doesn't! I always try and think of a Valentine that consist of something that is "their favorite things". I feel it makes it a little more personal and I have always let them choose what they hand out to their little friends {with several suggestions from Mommy to help move things along!} We have done Popcorn and Gummy Bears in the past which were on the table again for this year {just different types}. This years winner was applesauce! Crew actually decided on it for his Valentine's {we had a V-Day play date today and he got to hand them out} and Charli had already picked something and then quickly changed her mind to do applesauce as well {hey, momma isn't complaining... one and done!}.

I went with the Target brand because I loved that the packaging is actually red and white and coordinated, instead of the green go go squeeze pouches. A quick slogan later and we had their "Valentine's Cards" to hand out! Thanks to Avery.com it is always super fast & simple to design a little business card to make into a tag! We always keep these business card sheets on hand because I do this every year and you never know when you might need a cute tag!

We also made a couple of super cute Teachers Valentine's for Charli to take into class on Wednesday. So if you are looking for something cute for a teacher, nanny, friend, this one is TOE-tally for you! I feel you can never go wrong with a little nail polish and knowing Charli's teacher pretty well it is something I know she will absolutely love. I also love the fact that it is one of Charli's favorite things, again, makes it a little more personal!

I hope this gives you a little inspiration or help if you are scrambling for a Valentine idea!
Happy Monday!

Catching Moments: {5/52}:

*A huge moment here you guys... Crew FINALLY sat in the dentist chair all by HIMSELF for the very first time... Only took 2 1/2 years of going... But he did it and this Momma couldn't be prouder of her boy!

*Two peas in a pod, these two! Before Steven got extremely ill we took the kids on a fun unplanned day. Steven and Charli had the MOST fun riding on this dune buggy dirt course. Look at both of their smiles!!
