Monday Mix-Up: Stripes:

Happy Monday friends!

This weeks Monday Mix-Up theme with The Heathered Life & The Hollinsworth House, is Stripes!

There is no denying my love and obsession with stripes!
Stripes are perfectly simple, perfectly classic, and a touch of nautical, which is everything I love!

From adding Stripes to my home:

To fun accessory items:

To of course my wardrobe:

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer | Jacket: Old Navy | Watch: Michael Kors | Link Bracelet: Stella & Dot | Cuff Bracelets: David Yurman

Vertical, horizontal, even diagonal stripes... I love them all!

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Weekend Update: The Eggs come to Charleston:

We were so excited for our friends Alan and Elizabeth and their two girls to arrive on Friday!
Alan and Steven were stationed together on the UNDERWOOD and have been close ever since.

This was officially Charli's very first visitors!
We have never had any other children stay with us and all three girls are like stepping stones in age, so we were ready for some fun!

***

Friday started with a Doctor's appointment for me (story of my life) and I got to go all by myself (insert squeal). While I was gone, Charli helped Daddy mow the grass and do lots of yard work. After I got home we all headed to Home Depot to pick up some things for spring cleaning in the yard (mulch, fertilizer, grass seed, and Weed B Gone) and then we went to the Ladson Seafood Market to pick up some fresh SC Jumbo shrimp to grill for dinner.

Our visitors arrived late afternoon and we let the girls run around the backyard and play while Steven fired up the grill! After an amazing dinner grilled by my husband it was up the stairs for bath time for 3 little girls...

 Yep, Daddy's on Duty! ;)

After all three girls were snug in bed, we finished our evening hanging out, watching Wolf of Wall Street, and talking the night away!

We woke up Saturday morning to down pouring rain...
Which ruined our initial plans of going Downtown.
So it was a morning full of waffles and this...

The rain didn't stop us from having fun though... Alan and Elizabeth have a bounce house and they are genius and decided to bring it with them.

So a nice set up in the garage meant happy girls!

After two and half hours of running, bouncing, laughing, sweating, and two little boo boo's, it was time for lunch and naps...
Oh wait, except for all that fresh air and activity was clearly not enough for Miss Charli... At least she laid in her crib for 2 hours.

While the girls were napping, the boys headed out to grab a couple beers and watch the Cycling Race (Crit) that was going on in Park Circle.

The rest of the day was absolutely beautiful, so we headed out to the County Park to let the girls run and play!

Daddy's on Duty... Again! ;)

There was lots of
digging:

See-sawing:

Playing:

 Swinging:

 And just chilling:

It was a perfect afternoon spent with our friends, followed by a perfect dinner out!
Then it was back to the house to get 3 very exhausted little girls to bed!

Sunday morning we were up, dressed, and out of the house with 4 adults and 3 toddlers by 8:30am (impressive if you ask me)! We headed into Downtown for Sunday Brunch at Eli's Table!

Is this too much?! Nope, didn't think so! Two amazing Daddy's with their Diva Girls!

It was a perfect morning in the courtyard with these little characters...

After a delicious brunch we said our goodbye's. Charli was extremely upset to say goodbye to her friends. I think she had one of the best weekends ever! As we walked away she was crying for Ellie ("Ehhhh weeee"). It was so pitiful.

We truly are blessed with some amazing friends and were so excited to have Alan and Elizabeth and the girls here with us! It was sad to see them leave but we know we will be seeing them again soon!
Thank you so much for coming to visit, we love you guys!

After we said our goodbye's, we headed to King St to walk around and do a little shopping

These two have my whole heart!

It was a perfect morning and afternoon spent Downtown!
Charli ended up falling fast to sleep 2 minutes into our drive home, and yes that meant we drove extra slow heading home and possibly took the super long way so she could sleep! ;)
It was honestly the best Sunday drive! Sun shining, baby girl sleeping, radio off, and me and my hubby just talking away! It was truly perfect!

The rest of our day was super relaxing and ended with our big girl officially sitting at the dinner table with us

No booster seat, no high chair, just her little bottom in a big girl chair next to her Mommy and Daddy!

We have a lot of transitions that will be happening with baby 2 on the way, but we are taking all of them very slowly and going at her own pace! It melts my heart to see my baby girl acting so big!

We are ending our perfect little weekend snuggled up watching a movie!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend as well!
