Where Awesome Parents Take Their Kids:

From the day we moved to Charleston and Steven saw the Chuck E. Cheese right next to Target, he has been nagging and pleading for us to take Charli.
"Every kid needs to go to Chuck E. Cheese"
"It's where a kid can be a kid"
"She will LOVE it"
"I'm going to take her no matter what"

I can't tell you how many times I heard these lines along with so many other reasons as to why Charli NEEDED to go to Chuck E. Cheese. I of course knew in the back of my mind it was my other child Steven who really just wanted to go and be a kid! ;)

So for the past 8 months, I have said "No".
"But I won't be able to eat anything"
"It is not sanitary"
"Charli is too young"

So with my mom coming into town last week, Steven decided to call her to get her onboard with going on Thursday after she arrived (He promised her they had wine, which they don't FYI)!

Steven researched online some things about Chuck E Cheese and told me about their security policies, sanitary measures, and that they offer not only a Gluten Free pizza that is prepared separately from the rest, but a Gluten Free cupcake...
I WAS IMPRESSED!

So after my mom arrived on Thursday evening, we headed out for what ended up being a really fun evening at Chuck E. Cheese!

I can only imagine how overwhelmed Charli must have been when we walked in.
We sat down and ate before letting her run wild and play, and even caught a couple of little shows. Charli cried and was very scared when she first saw Chuck E. Cheese, but then realized it was ok and started to warm up to him and really loved dancing along and clapping during the show. After we ate (and let me add that the Gluten Free pizza was pretty good), we were off to play...

The Toddler Zone:

 Riding the horsy:

Playing a bumble bee game with Nana:

 Roller Coaster Ride:

And my last two favorites...
Basketball:

(And why yes, I did kick both my mom's butt and Steven's butt!)

And Skee Ball:

All in all, we really did have an amazing time and I am glad I gave in!
And we of course had one tired worn out little girl by the end...

I still think Charli is too young. She played with a couple of things but was really scared of a lot of games she saw. I don't see us going back anytime soon, but when she gets a little older I will reconsider!
Of course if Steven had his way, they would be going weekly!
