Happy half birthday sweet girl!
Yes, we had a special pancake breakfast and yes we sung 'Happy Half Birthday'!
How is our little girl 18 months old already?
I can't believe we have a 1 1/2 year old...
We can't imagine our life without this sweet, loving, sassy, independent, caring, stubborn, precious little girl!
*Height: N/A (She was just over 34 INCHES at her 15 month checkup. We will find out this week at her 18 month checkup)
*Weight: 31-32 LBS (unofficial. Will find out this week)
*Diapers: Size 4 Pampers Swaddlers
*Teeth: 16 (all 4 of her canines came in by the beginning of the month) and still loves to brush her teeth all by herself!
*Sleep: She sleeps from 7PM to 7:30/8AM and naps around 12:30/1PM for over 2 hours (can sometimes even go with no nap and is still a happy girl). I am so grateful that we have never had any issues with Charli sleeping!
*Food: Charli eats everything we put in front of her. She is definitely not a picky eater at all. So incredibly grateful for this as well! Some of her favorites are turkey, cheese, grapes, bananas, peanut butter (loves when I give her just a spoon full of peanut butter), celery, apples, cucumbers, pretzels, and avocados.
*Habits: Charli has a few quirky habits that she has done since she was a baby but I realized I have never written them down. So here you go... She loves strings and will sit there and play with them for hours (strings on sweatshirts, sweatpants, loose strings on blankets or stuffed animals), she is also a picker (since she was a newborn she would pick at my cuticles and still does, she will pick at my freckles, just about anything that she finds interesting she picks at), she is a chewer (she chews on all of her blankets and some teddy bears. It has gotten to the point where I have started taking things out of her crib because I find a million little fuzz balls that she has chewed off of things).
*Words: She is still a huge talker and has added so many more new words to her first list I created. She can say well over 60 words. Some new words since the last list was written are 'Amen', 'Please', 'Thank You', 'Jesus', 'This', 'That', and she has learned her first color... 'Blue'. She can show you up to 12 body parts, 12 animal sounds, and has also learned within the past couple of months 'shhhhhh' and puts her finger over her mouth! She has even started to learn her 'ABC's'! Anytime she sees letters she says "A, C, O, S" (it is seriously the cutest thing I have ever heard), and the fact that she knows they are letters is what amazes me!
*Social: Charli doesn't meet a stranger! She waves to everyone and even talks to them when we are walking by. It really is amazing to see how many smiles she brings to so many peoples faces! She is shy and clings on to Mommy or Daddy when meeting someone new, but once she knows that Mommy and Daddy approve and tell her it is OK, she is fine and by the end is giving hugs and kisses goodbye!
*Charli may have entered the 'Terrible Ones' (I really hope this is a short lived phase), and may be stubborn at times, but she is the biggest love I know! She gives the biggest hugs and biggest kisses and loves to snuggle in tight (when she wants) ;), she loves when Bailey and Bogey give kisses too!
We love you so much Charli Adele!
Happy 18 months!
