Weekend Update: Our super busy, fun-filled, weekend with Nana

We had a very busy, very fun weekend with my mom
(even if it was a Drill Weekend)

My mom arrived Thursday evening, and we headed out to dinner at Chuck E Cheese... Charli's first experience (stay tuned for that tomorrow... it gets a post all its own). Then it was back to the house to put a worn out little girl to bed and to enjoy a relaxing evening with a movie (Gravity)!

Friday morning started with some yummy fresh strawberry muffins that I made!
Friday was a cold rainy day so we lounged for a little in the morning and then us girls headed out for some fun at The Charleston Children's Museum!

First Stop: Gravity area

Second Stop: Water Tables

Third Stop: Shipwreck

 Fourth Stop: The Toddler area

And of course we had to make two stops here:

After The Children's Museum we headed out for lunch.

My friend Kelly introduced me to this amazing little find in Downtown Park Circle!
Unfortunately they do not offer Gluten Free pizza, but that is quite alright because their salads speak for themselves and their homemade chocolate and peanut butter fudge is to die for!
Perfect lunch spot for a girls afternoon!

After lunch it was back to the house for nap time.
Steven got home a little early from work, and after Charli woke up it was off to Toys R us (because well, it just wouldn't be a "Nana visit" without a trip to the toy store for a little spoiling of one little girl!) Then we headed to dinner to a place by our house, then home for bath and bed!

Saturday morning Steven was off to work bright and early as we lounged and got ready for what was going to be a beautiful sunny and 70 degree day!
We packed a bag and headed out to Magnolia Plantation!

This was one thing my mom really wanted to do while we lived here.
I was so excited to be able to take her and enjoy the beautiful weather that Charleston had to offer!

 Our first stop: The Zoo

Next: The Gardens and a Perfect Picnic
The Daffodils were in full bloom... Ahhhhh Spring!!!

We even walked through an old slave house on the property

It was a perfect trip to the plantation with Nana and this Diva...

Just matching in our denim jackets and big sunglasses... No bigs!

After a fun filled morning and a 15 minute nap in the car for one little girl on our way home, our day wasn't over...

When we got home it was time to get ready for a promotion party for a friend.
The party was at The Patriots Point Fish House on the water.  We had a great time celebrating Patrick and his promotion and are so glad we were all able to attend!
It was a perfect end to our day!

Congratulations again Patrick!

Sunday was a lazy morning with the time change.
Our morning consisted of:
Breakfast
Relaxing
A trip to Home Depot for some flowers
Some Sunday chores

A picnic lunch in the backyard
Then heading Downtown for Second Sunday on King Street

The second Sunday of every month, they close King Street (the main road in Downtown Charleston) to all traffic and open it up to vendors, restaurants, and pedestrians!

Charli had an absolute blast strolling down King Street like she owned it, and I had an absolute blast spending time with my mom and my baby girl, in the almost 80 degree weather, doing a little shopping!

We ended our Sunday to the perfect Spaghetti dinner that was cooked by my amazing husband and after putting Charli down for the night, having another movie night (Hunger Games: Catching Fire).

Steven had today off since it was a drill weekend, and we spent the morning lounging around until my mom headed out at nap time.
We had an absolute blast with her and are so happy she could make the trip up!
We love you and can't wait to see you again!

The rest of our Monday looked like this:
Relaxing
Lunch for me and the hubs on the back patio since it was 80 again today
And lots of backyard play time when the little one awoke

And that my friend concludes a super busy, fun-filled weekend!

Now it is time for the Season Finale of the Bachelor!!! ;)

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend as well!
