Charli Adele: 7 month update

Charli is 7 months old today... SEVEN months... Seriously, she is now closer to being a one year old then a newborn :( it is so bittersweet. As much as I want to keep her a tiny little baby forever, we look forward to each and every day with her, as she grows and changes, and all of the new milestones she accomplishes as each day comes. It amazes me with how much she learns on a daily basis. Just over the weekend in San Diego she started talking SO much more. At 14 weeks, Charli said "ma ma" for the very first time (and we do have a video of it! And yes, it could have been a coincidence, or the fact that she was learning her voice and just making "noises"... but I do not find it a coincidence that even at 14 weeks, the only time she ever said "ma ma" was when I walked out of the room, or was "ignoring" her) ;). But like I was saying, over the weekend she started saying "da da da da", "ba ba ba ba", and "ma ma ma ma" (and every time I hear her little voice, it is music to my ears!)

Charli's stats:
*27 1/2 inches and 22 lbs (95-99% for both)

*She is starting to wear some 9 month sizes. I think she will be out of all 6 month sizes in a few weeks (Time for a little shopping ;))
*She is in a size 3 diaper

*She has her 2 bottom teeth!!! (and I'm pretty sure she is already starting to teeth again... so we will see!)
*She now "kisses" and they are the best thing I have ever received! They are "open mouth bite kind of kisses"! She wraps her arms around my head and gives me these kisses. Although, now with two tiny teeth, I  actually get bit now!
*She still sleeps all night long. (We did have a bit of a regression while she was sick, because she was gagging while coughing and waking herself up) :(
*Last night was the first night we did not put her in her sleep sak for bed.
*She takes 2 naps a day: 9 AM and 1 PM
*Now that she is eating, we have a full night time routine. We sit down at the dinning room table and have dinner as a family at 5:30 PM, followed by bath time, getting ready for bed, brushing her 2 little teeth, then it's mommy/Charli time as I rock and nurse her to sleep. (side note: she LOVES when I lotion her up! haha! Random, I know, but she gets so excited!)
*I am still nursing, and plan to until she is a year!
*Her favorite bath toy is her purple "H" foam letter
*We finally brought out her music stand toy and she loves it! She can sit in front of it and will play with it for a while!
*She is eating peas, green beans, carrots, bananas, and sweet potatoes! (Her favorites are carrots and sweet potatoes). We had a bit of a scare when we gave her bananas for the first time, with her having an allergic reaction, but everything is good now, we waited a week before trying them again, and she is fine! (phew!)
*We found some Gluten Free baby snacks, and yesterday was the first time giving her a baby rice cracker. She had no idea what it was or what to do with it, but after a couple of minutes she went to town!
*She definitely recognizes when Steven and I are eating, and tries to reach and grab our food, and starts yelling! haha! We can't help but to laugh!
*She is so loud these days, and it is hilarious! I told Steven this weekend that I am pretty sure we have entered the stage of no longer being able to go to nice restaurants with her because she does not know how to use her inside voice... lol
*She is all over the place, but has not shown any interest in crawling. As soon as we put her on her knees, she shoots her legs straight out and back on to her tummy. (I keep saying I think she is going to just be a roller!) She rolls all over the place and when she is on her tummy, she can turn in circles.
*She is definitely just like her momma, and LOVES accessories already: jewelry (specifically watches, and more specifically, her daddy's watch ;) she has good taste ;) haha), purses, and sunglasses! She wants to chew on them all!

Charli got a pretty sweet 7 month birthday present in the mail today too, from our friend Nancy back home! Charli's Babiators! Cool kids wear babiators! Thank you so much Nancy! :)

We are so blessed to call her our daughter, and we can't wait for all of the new adventures with her! We love her more with each and every day, and are so lucky to be her mommy and daddy! She is the happiest baby ever, and it never gets old when we hear complete strangers notice her when we are out and say how she is such a pretty baby! We love you so much Charli Adele, and Happy 7 months!
