Weekend Update: The no Drill, Drill Weekend:

This weekend was supposed to be a work weekend (drill weekend) for Steven, but due to the Government Shutdown it was cancelled.

Our weekend started with yet another Colonoscopy for myself first thing Friday morning...

Thank you again for all of the prayers and well wishes, it truly means a lot, that so many of you care!
Everything went good...
The good news was that nothing has gotten WORSE... But the bad news is that nothing has gotten better... My Doctor told Steven everything looks exactly the same... UGH!
So now what??
They are looking into yet another medication to put me on.
Still keeping positive though (that's all I can do!)

The rest of the day was a whole lot of resting, a 2 hour nap for the whole family, and a very quick trip to the park to get both Charli and Mommy some fresh air.

That was all the outing I could take, so it was back to the house, an early dinner, some after dinner backyard time and hammock time...

And an early bedtime for all!

Saturday morning I woke up feeling much better, and back to myself! We finally had our Garage Sale that we have been meaning to have since we have moved here.
So glad that is over, and making some extra money is always a plus!!
Then it was lunch, nap, and of course... football!

Charli was a bit confused as she rocked her 'house divided' onesie I made! What's a baby to do?!
(You can follow the same steps Here to make your own adorable applique's!)

Saturday evening, Steven had a Navy birthday dining out in downtown Charleston. I was so sad that I was unable to attend, but we do not feel comfortable just yet leaving Charli with just any babysitter. My mom was supposed to be here this weekend to watch her so we could both go, but she had to cancel her trip due to work.
So Charli and I said bye to Daddy before he headed out and he looked oh so handsome in his uniform

Steven made it back home in time for the Florida/Arkansas game, and the Gators Win!!! ;)
Perfect Saturday if you ask me!

Sunday morning we ran a few errands and Charli's baby joined in on the family outing for the first time...

Charli has had this baby for a while now, and really has never showed a huge interest in it. She would play with it here and there but that was about it. The past couple of weeks though, Charli has officially shown signs in wanting her 'baybay' with her at all times (this is the very first "thing" she has ever left the house with because she wanted it). She has never really been "attached" to anything... Not even her 'lovies' or stuffed animals that she sleeps with... She loves them, but she knows that they all stay in her bed.
So this is a first for our little girl and I am loving it!

After some errand running, a little shopping, and some lunch... We headed out to meet some friends at Short Stay Campground at Lake Moultrie that is designated for Military/DOD.

We did a whole lot of relaxing...

Dancing...

Chasing ducks...

Eating hot dogs...

Spending lots of time with Ms. Kelly...

And watching the start of the sun going down...

It was a perfect afternoon and the perfect ending to our 'No Drill, Drill Weekend'

I hope you had just as amazing of a weekend!

Happy Monday!
