Jamaica: Part One: Our Travels:

The moment you have all been waiting for... Right?! ;)
(This will be brought to you in a 3 part post so you don't get bombarded with my 300 + pictures I took)

***

So to give you a bit of a back story (for those who don't know). Steven and I had both our wedding planned as well as our Honeymoon (to this same all inclusive in Jamaica) but thanks to the Navy, Steven's deployment was bumped up a couple of months and they were going to be deploying 3 days after our wedding... So needless to say, the honeymoon got cancelled and we spent those last 2 days getting him packed up.

I am so thankful for everything he does for our country and am so proud of the man, husband, and father he is. He is truly my hero!

So now that we are living back on the East Coast (and so close to my family), Charli being officially weaned, and both of us feeling it was time that we take that next step and leave Charli for some "us" time... Steven went ahead and surprised me with our Honeymoon!!!! I was so excited, yet at the same time still so sad about actually having to leave Charli (even though I knew deep down she would be just fine, and it would be really good for all parties involved... and it was)!

With all of that being said, it brings me to this...  Our Honeymoon  of 6 days 5 nights at the all inclusive resort Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica!

We flew into Montego Bay Jamaica and after standing in line at customs for over an hour and a half we were ready to get this show on the road (and we were beginning to lose our buzz from all of the free drinks in First Class).  So once we got through customs we headed over to our resort area in the airport and started to enjoy the free drinks while we waited for our bus to drive us to our destination!

Finally on the bus and double fisting 32oz rum drinks... It's how I roll! ;)

And Steven drinking his Red Stripe

The bus drive was about an hour from the airport to our resort. It was such a fun drive, being able to see all of the different cities and being able to "sight-see" (since we had no plans of leaving the resort once we arrived).

There were goats EVERYWHERE!

A local bar that we stopped at on our way to the resort, and filled up my 2 32oz cups with some Rum Punches... (this may or may not have been a bad choice...) ;) haha

More goats!

Then we arrived to our resort... Couples Swept Away!
(where they gave us all champagne upon our arrival... good lawd... the booze)

Our suite for the next 5 nights!
Which I can not confirm nor deny that I have no recollection of arriving to our resort, walking to our room, or doing anything else for that matter, and that all of these pictures were taken the next day... hungover! ;) haha

The beautiful flowers that my wonderful hubby had delivered to our suite!

And two of the many bars at the resort where we would be spending a whole lot of our time...

So we arrived
And we were ready for a wonderful week of fun, sun, sleeping in, relaxing, drinking, eating, and just being 'us'!

And I will leave you with this...

(Jamaica Part Two, some of our adventures will be coming up next...)
