Yes, it's true, we spent the week in Cancun! My amazing husband surprised me with a baby moon he planned for us (I literally had no idea), but more on that this week!
We arrived back into the states at Midnight Friday night/Saturday morning... Which was not planned... Our flight was over 6 hours delayed leaving Cancun. We were supposed to be back around 6:00 PM Friday evening but instead landed in Atlanta after Midnight, missed our connecting flight, and had to rent a car and drive through the night back to Jacksonville because my baby shower was Saturday morning... We arrived back in Jax at 7AM Saturday morning.
It was a long day of traveling.
We were exhausted to say the least but so excited to be back and be there when Charli woke up!
Later Saturday morning my mom, sister in law, Charli, and I headed to my baby shower that two of my best friends threw for me (more on that this week too)!
Thank you again Christie and Shannon for showering our little man with so much love!
After the shower it was back to my parents for a much needed nap!
Then it was out to the backyard for the rest of the afternoon
Charli loves the water... Anything water related.
She spent every day in the pool with Nana and Papa while we were away and has officially learned how to float and move around all on her own in her floaty. I work with her at our neighborhood pool when I am feeling up to it and not stuck in the house sick, so this was a perfect time for my mom to continue to work with her. She is not even 23 months and kicks and moves her arms to get around the entire length of the pool.
I think she will be a natural (like her Mama of course) at swimming. I was the youngest member of my swim team, swimming in events at the age of 3.
We still have a lot of work to do, but I am so proud of our little fishy!
The rest of our Saturday was very low key and called for an early bedtime for all as Steven and I were running on nothing with no sleep from traveling.
Sunday morning, Steven headed out for a bike ride, while Charli and I lounged with my parents and spent time with her Great Grandma! Then it was back out to the pool for some morning fun!
After lunch and nap we said our goodbyes and headed to a dear friend of mine's little boys 2nd Birthday! I am so thankful that we have been in town the past two years to be able to celebrate both Gavin's 1st Birthday and now his 2nd! Kelly did an amazing job with Gavin's party and we were so happy to be a part of his celebrations!
"Choo Choo Gavin's 2"!
Seriously, these two...
haha
Happy Birthday Gavin, we love you!
After the party it was on the road back home!
We have had a super busy week with a baby moon, a baby shower, a birthday party, and traveling...
We had an absolute blast and are so happy to have been able to see family and friends this weekend, but we are so happy to be back home and get back to our normal routine... Which calls for Doctor's appointments every day this week for me... Yep, back to normal!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as well!
Happy Monday!
