It seems like just yesterday I was looking into her beautiful blue eyes for the very first time, holding her as close as I possibly could, and listening to the sounds of her very first breaths.
How can two years have already come and gone...
Newborn
Not a day goes by that I don't thank the Lord for allowing us to be her parents and for bringing her into our family. Though it has only been two years, it seems like she has always been a part of our life and family. She is our everything and I can't imagine our life without her in it.
Charli is the most loving and amazing little girl I have ever met.
She has her moments, but don't we all...
Charli is incredibly smart, creative, funny, a little OCD, loving, charismatic, stubborn, shy, independent, and silly.
She loves dancing and singing and putting on a show for everyone, she is the best at trying to manipulate a situation to get what she wants, and she throws the absolute best tantrums let me tell ya! ;)
I still can't believe she is two but I am so excited for this next year and everything it has in store for her and for our family!

Charli's Stats:
*Height: 39 inches (she is off the charts tall). At the 2 year check up is when they start talking about their height and growth as adults. Both Steven and I have a lot of height on both sides of our families and Steven and I are both 2-3 inches above average, so it is likely Charli will be pretty tall. They say 80% of the population if you double their height at 2 is what they will be when they are finished growing... That would put Charli around 6'4... Grant it this is not always accurate and is just an estimation for Pediatricians. Our Pediatrician basically left it as "she is destined to be tall/above average".
*Weight: 35 lbs (still 99%)
*Clothes: 24 months, 2T, and 3T
*Diapers: Pampers Swaddlers size 5. Like I have said before, potty training was honestly the last thing I was worried about. Potty training Charli is something we do not want to force on her and MAKE her do, and after talking with our Pediatrician this morning he couldn't agree more with our approach. We have been in the beginning stages and she is definitely learning quickly. Charli has gone pee pee on the potty several times in the past month or so but still doesn't grasp the concept fully. She will get there and we are not worried! She is a smart little girl and will catch on when we least expect it!
*Teeth: Still 16 and still waiting on her 2 year molars. Her 2 bottom ones are almost there and by the tantrums she has been throwing I would expect they should be here soon! ;)
*Sleep: I know I mentioned in last month's update that it was the first time in her entire life we had issues getting her to sleep. I am happy to say that it was very short lived and I honestly think it just had to do with the new transition into her big girl bed and sleeping at Nana and Papa's that threw her off. She is back to her awesome sleeping self and we are so thankful! We eat dinner around 6-6:30pm every night and bedtime routine is immediately followed... a little play time, followed by a bubble bath, brushing of teeth, brushing of hair, diaper, lotion, PJ's, kisses, story, and bed. She still takes 1 nap in the afternoon around 1:30pm and sleeps anywhere between 1 1/2-3 hours
*Food: She loves it... ;) her favorites are still fruits, yogurt, cereal, rice cakes, cheese, goldfish, peanut butter, salads, cucumbers, pickles, turkey, popsicles, fruit snacks, and any "special treat" we occasionally give her!
*Words: She is crazy talkative and still puts together new sentences on the daily. Some of her new favorite words are "awesome", "cool dude", and "honey". She can now count up to 9 with a breeze and knows the numbers by looking at them written out or on my fingers. I think her favorite color is yellow because wherever we are, if she see's something yellow she will say "Momma, I see yellow".

*Social: As outgoing as Charli is she is still pretty shy at first. Her favorite thing to do right now is sing and dance and put on shows for anyone that will watch (it is seriously the funniest most adorable thing ever). She makes up her own songs or she will sing one of her many go-to favorites; "row row row your boat", "ABC's", "ring around the rosie", or "Happy birthday". One thing I love about Charli is her imagination. It is amazing to listen to her talk to her dolls, baby's, and stuffed animals. I can sit there and listen to her conversations for hours. It is one of my favorite things to do! Besides her performances and being outside or in the water, her favorite thing to do is read! I love that she loves reading and books so much because I am not a reader at all. I think she gets that from her daddy.
Happy 2nd Birthday again Charli Adele!
Here is to another amazing year!
We love you!
Happy birthday to Charli!! Can you imagine if she actually turns out to be 6' 4"?!? That would be so cool!
