Weekend Update: February Drill:

It was that time of the month again... Drill Weekend!

Friday started like any other day...
Breakfast
Today Show
Play Time
Then it was off to run some errands...
Followed by...
Lunch
Nap
And daddy coming home so I could go get my hair done!
(Ahhhh so refreshing!)

Friday evening we headed to the mall to do a little shopping and then decided to grab some dinner at Jason's Deli because they now carry Gluten Free bread (insert happy dance)!
It is the little things for me, and being able to order a sandwich like any normal person gets me oh so giddy!
And of course the free ice cream is always a bonus...

It was the perfect Friday Family Date Night!

Saturday morning, Steven was of course up bright and early as us girl continued to snooze to the sound of a little rain!

The rest of the morning was pretty lazy, as we stayed in our PJ's almost all morning since it was cold and rainy.

After nap the sun finally came out and it warmed up a bit so we headed outside...

For some wagon time...

And a little football...

And Saturday ended with us snuggled up watching the Winter Olympics!

Sunday, Steven headed into work while us girls got ready to run a few errands before getting to meet Daddy and some friends for a perfect lunch date!

We headed into Park Circle and met our friend Kelly and her little girl Ava at DIG while we waited for Steven and Shaun to arrive!

It was another absolutely beautiful afternoon sitting outside on the patio for lunch... And a certain little miss was SUPER excited to see her daddy!!

It absolutely melts my heart to see how much this little girl loves her dada!

Sunday ended with a perfect Movie Date Night In with my man, watching Captain Philips.

I thought it was such a great movie.
Watching that movie I experienced a great deal of emotions...
As my husband does exactly what we were watching, as a Surface Warfare Officer and as a Boarding Officer.

It makes me so incredibly proud at what Steven does for our Country, yet makes me so incredibly scared, nervous, frightened, and sad knowing what he is out there doing to keep us safe.
Thank you again baby for all that you do!

And yep, you guessed it... Our weekend wasn't over just yet!!
(The one good thing that comes from Drill Weekends... Monday's off!)

Monday morning, after snuggling in bed with the whole family (yes, dogs included), we headed downstairs for breakfast!
Steven made some amazing Gluten Free Biscuits for the first time so we could have bacon, egg, and  cheese biscuits... Ummm delicious (recipe will be on the blog soon)

After breakfast, we headed out to a Waterfront Park downtown to run around, take in the sites, and let Charli play on the playground!

There was lots of swinging...

And lots of sliding...

It was a perfect Monday morning with my little family!

After lunch and putting Charli down for a nap, this mama got to head to Target all by herself (weeeee)

The rest of our day has been pretty lazy...
Playing outside
Playing inside
Watching the Winter Olympics
Dinner
Bath
Bed

We are ending our day watching some TV and doing a little baking for a little Valentine's Party Play Date I am hosting tomorrow morning!
Life. Is. Good!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as well!
Happy Monday!
