Weekend Update:

Friday morning I had a colonoscopy, unfortunately I didn't get great news, but I am trying to stay very positive... Therefore Friday was a full day of resting for me, while Steven got plenty of one on one Daddy/Daughter time! This was the very first time I was unable to nurse Charli because of being put under with Anesthesia. I was really nervous because Charli stopped taking the bottle around 4 months old. But she did amazing, and took the bottle from Daddy with no problems!!

Since living in California, we have said one thing on our bucket list was to visit Yosemite National Park. We had a lot of discussions this past week about going (since our time here is quickly coming to an end), but we really had to play it by ear with me having my procedure on Friday (because normally I do not respond well to Anesthesia), but surprisingly, I did awesome and felt like normal pretty quickly, so we decided to pack our backpacks and put on our sneakers, and head up to Yosemite on Saturday morning! And man am I glad we did!! It was a super long day, but we had the most amazing time and I wouldn't have changed it for the world! The pictures don't even do it justice... This place was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to, and it simply took our breath away everywhere we looked!

Not even in the park yet, and it is already this beautiful!

After close to a 4 hour drive, we made it!! Why, hello Yosemite... It is so nice to meet you!

Entering into the park

Our first stop was Tunnel View.... And oh my... Is that not beautiful!

We proceeded to check out another waterfall by walking to the base of it! And this was Charli's first time in a backpack carrier, and she absolutely loved it!! (Thanks to our friends Brad and Andrea for letting us borrow it!)

It was getting close to lunch, and I had packed up a picnic for us to enjoy, so it was off to find the perfect spot! And I'm pretty sure we found it!!!
Doesn't get any better than that!

Our friends Kate and Kev had the same idea, and headed to Yosemite as well, and with no service in the entire park, they found us! Nice job! ;) It was a great time spent together, enjoying the beauty of the views and letting the kids run and play... and potty break! ;) hahaha!

Happy Birthday Kev!!!!!!

On our way to our next stop... And this is the view we get!! Again... breathtaking!
Yosemite Falls

Half Dome

 Ummm... Hey crazies!!

We stopped at The Ahwahnee Hotel for an adult beverage before we went hiking (and yes, I said Before! ;) haha! And this was our view... Pretty incredible if you ask me!

And with this view... Couldn't get any better!

Cheers to you Yosemite! Cheers to you!

Now let's hike! If you know me, you know I am not a "hiker". We ended up doing a 5 mile hike, and it was again... Breathtaking! It was such an amazing time with my family, and we really enjoyed ourselves and had a blast! And Charli loved every minute of being in the backpack carrier!

Hey look... We spotted more crazies!! haha!

And yes, this is what the crazies were climbing!

Just giving DaDa a nice head scratch... Or hair pull... haha

Mirror Lake

Needless to say, our visit to Yosemite was an amazing time and we are so glad we made it up there!

So after a long day on Saturday, we knew Sunday would be pretty relaxing! Steven did go golfing with a couple of his friends for Kev's birthday, while Charli and I enjoyed the sun in the backyard. And that was the extent to our Sunday!

I hope everyone had just as an amazing weekend as we did!
