Catching Moments: {21/52}:

 *Thompson...
My mom is fostering a chocolate lab puppy that will become a K9 For Warriors Service Dog. Thompson has become the "other baby" in our family and he fits right in with the other two crazies. Especially when he climbs into Charli's carseat with her while we are driving! Of course it is Charli's favorite thing ever!

*Tan Lines...
Just taking a little dip in Nana & Papa's pool over the weekend. Swim Trunks are overrated. And that tan line though!

Memorial Day 2016:

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Let us Honor & Remember the one's who paid the ultimate sacrifice, the one's who never made it home, the one's whose family's still morn for the loss of their loved one.

For my family Memorial Day {as well as every patriotic holiday} doesn't come around just once a year, but comes around so much more... We think about my Uncle who served in the Vietnam War, who received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his courageous attempts during the fight. My Uncle Kenny is no longer with us but is always in our hearts and mind. I wish he could have met our children and I know just how proud and happy he is for me and my family.

As we morn the loss of my Uncle and Grandfather {who also served in the United States Navy}, we are also grateful for their sacrifices to our country along with my husband and every day that he gets to returns home to us. Because not every family is so fortunate. Yes, Steven's career is not over and we pray for his constant safety and for his return home every day that he is away. We were so fortunate to celebrate Steven's 18th Anniversary of being in the United States Navy this past week and his true commitment to our Country and his job. As he his away {yet again} from us and not celebrating this holiday with his family and loved ones, we at least have the satisfaction of knowing he is marching in a Memorial Day Parade, and will be in our arms soon.

So today {and everyday}, hold your loved ones a little closer, hug them a little tighter, and tell them you love them.

Our Home Decor: Memorial Day Edition:

Good Morning, Happy Friday & Hello Memorial Day Weekend!

There is something about this time of year, as we enter into Summer, that I truly love! Summer fashion, the relaxing vibes, and give me all the red, white & blue. I have always correlated Summer with those three simple colors and all things America. Knowing that we get to kick off Summer with a remembrance to the ones who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and laid down their life for our freedom and country is something truly special.
"All gave Some, Some gave All... Remember the Fallen"

When it comes to decorating for Memorial Day and then again for The 4th of July I say, give me all the American Flags! It is something you will find all around our home for the Holiday and in my opinion you can never have too many. So here you go, take a peek into what our home looks like this Memorial Day Weekend!

Front Porch:

{We are in the process of finally working on the outside of our home before we tackle the inside so all I got around to doing was adding some simple touches to the wreath. Which honestly, I absolutely love the simplicity and classic feel it gives!}

Back Porch:

 {It wouldn't be Summer or Memorial Day weekend without snack time being outside while swimming or playing, am I right!}

Wishing everyone a wonderful fun filled weekend with their loved ones!

Happy Decorating!

Catching Moments: {20/52}:

*Water Baby...
Both of our babies have always loved the water {bath, pool, beach, sprinkler, rain, hose} but Crew takes it to a whole new level. Charli is our cautious creature and always has been. She will be hesitant, or make sure something is safe before she does it. Crew, nope, nada... We are pretty sure he thrives on fear and tries to drown himself and he thinks it is hilarious... Lord help me & bring more wine! This shot was from Crew enjoying a full day at Nana & Papa's pool!

*My Little Photographer...
Charli is my full blown mini me; her traits, her personality, being OCD, organized, a clean freak, and super cautious. But one thing that makes my heart soar is her true love for photography at such a young age! This little girl has her camera in hand all day every day, and if she forgets it she will improvise with whatever she can find so she can take pictures!
"Mommy, did you see that? Well don't worry I got a great pic-cha for you. It is so beautiful I can't even believe it". Oh sweet precious, I hope you always have a passion for photos & capturing beautiful things!

Catching Moments: {19/52}:

*Having a Ball...
Seeing all those smiles & my watching my three favorite people run around through the Sprinkler Ball while momma sits & sips on an adult beverage... That's what Summer Nights will be made of!

Catching Moments: {18/52}:

*Family Bike Rides...
And a few of their favorite things all captured in one photo... {1} Their helmets; they love them & would wear them all day every day if we let them. You can find them on their heads pretty much every time we are outside. {2} Their bike trailer; they love bike rides. The end. {3} Crew wearing nothing but a diaper; The kid is rarely in clothes when at home. {4} Bailey; She makes EVERYTHING better. EVERYTHING!

Mother's Day Weekend:

What a wonderful weekend it was!
It was a busy weekend with the perfect amount of relaxation. Making memories with friends and family & soaking in the every day moments of life with our two babies, who are the very reason I get to celebrate this wonderful holiday! I feel incredibly lucky that I have a husband who goes above and beyond to make me feel special every day but always goes the extra mile for special occasions. Thank you honey! I was sad to see Monday appear as that means daddy is back to work but we are looking forward to an exciting couple of weeks coming up!

On Sunday, I woke up to a hot cup of coffee with lots of snuggles and little giggles in my ear wishing me a "Happy Motha's Day Mommy". I got to open some very special gifts with help from some tiny little hands {seriously why does it make it so much better!}.

My parents came over in the morning and we went up to our club for the most perfect Brunch & Bottomless Mimosas. It was seriously the best morning and I am so thankful to be living back home where something so simple is cherished so much more! We spent the rest of the day in the backyard, letting the kids run around and play, Steven did a little yard work, and my mom and I were able to sneak out of the house during nap time for a much needed pedicure just her and I. I can't tell you how grateful I am for my mom. She truly is my role model and the woman I aspire to be the most. She does everything with love and kindness and taught me what motherhood really means! Thank you mom, I love you!

I know I'm not perfect and I mess up {a lot} but in the eyes of our children I am. To them I am superwoman and when I hear Charli say "all I want to be when I grow up is a Mommy just like my Mommy" makes my heart melt into a puddle right then and there. Our babies won't ever need me as much as they do right now and though some days are tough, that is the exact reason that gets me through! I love them fiercely and with all my being and am truly doing exactly what I have always wanted!

I hope every Mama out there had the best Mother's Day. You all deserve it! xoxo

Charli's Mother's Day Tea:

A few weeks ago I was cordially invited by the sweetest little girl in all the land {with a little tea pot card & poem} to attend her very first Mother's Day Tea at school. Charli and I have been so excited about this day and she has talked about it nonstop. Well the day had finally come and as I dropped Charli off at school yesterday morning, Mommy followed behind for the Mother's Day Tea!

It was the sweetest little morning with my first born, who made me a mommy. Watching her sing all of the songs she had been practicing with all of her classmates melted my momma heart. All of the children sang to us and made us special gifts. It truly was a morning I will always hold close to my heart and am so happy I could be there with my baby girl!

{The sweetest gifts}

Happy Tuesday!
