Charli Adele: 22 Month Update:

22 Months...
Holy smokes, our baby girl will be 2 Years Old in 2 months.
How is that even possible?

Since Charli's last Update, I can say that these past couple of months have literally been some of my favorite. Our little girl is growing and learning so much every single day and has really learned how to communicate so much better which has actually eliminated almost all of her tantrums. She understands consequences and is really understanding so much more these days.
Amazing!

I can't say it enough, but we have truly been blessed with the perfect little girl.
She has turned into such the compassionate little girl who is so loving and caring and truly worried if someone gets hurt or is sad or if I am sick. I'm pretty sure my absolute favorite phrase she says right now is "You Oh-Hey" ("You OK?")!

Our loving, caring, compassionate little lady is also still extremely independent, focused, articulate, creative, and of course she comes with a little bit of sass!

I mean look at that sweet, angelic little face...

And then this...
Haha

She is my favorite little lady and I am the luckiest Mommy in the world to have her as my own!
She is growing up way too fast though.

Charli's Stats:
*Weight: 35 LBS (by our scale)
*Height: Not exact, but 37 INCHES or taller

*Diaper Size: 5 Pampers Swaddlers. Charli also pee pee'd in the potty for the very first time over the weekend!! We are not trying to potty train but have had a little potty since about 18 months for her to understand and get comfortable with it. She has been sitting on it fully clothed or with a diaper on and will say "bye bye pee pee" and "bye bye poo poo" for a few months now, but the moment you would try to take her diaper off she would scream... She wasn't ready and that is OK. Recently though, she has been wanting to sit on the potty and she finally went! We were so proud of her!

*Clothes: Charli is still in all of her 18-24 month and 2T clothes but I have really been purchasing almost all 3T items as she will be able to wear them longer. They are still big on her but I know I will get a couple of years out of some of her things!

*Teeth: Still 16 but all of her 2 Year Molars have been working their way out for the past month. Both bottom ones should cut through soon I feel.

*Sleep: This is something new... Charli has officially been transitioned into her new big girl room/big girl bed!!!!! I got her new room all set up last week and with a little push from the hubby (because I kept putting it off) we finally put her in her queen size bed and she has been doing AMAZING! More about her big girl room coming soon! :) She is still sleeping from about 7:30PM to 7AM with a 2 hour nap around 1PM.

*Food: Charli is still our awesome little eater and will try almost anything. Her pallet has really expanded these past few months and absolutely LOVES salads (that's my girl), crab and lobster.
Her favorite snacks are: Cheese, Apples, Grapes, Rice Cakes, Yogurt, Peanut Butter, Fruit Snacks, Oranges, Strawberries, and the list goes on!

*Words: Just like her last update, I have lost count. She says a new phrase/sentence every single day. Charli knows all of her ABC's and is really picking up on her numbers now. Some of my favorite things she says right now are: "You Oh-Hey", "It's Oh-Hey" (it's ok), "What's this Momma?", "Who's this?", "I love you", "Yes Ma'am", "No Ma'am" (she has really developed her manners recently and I am loving it!), "Amen", "Momma take a rest" (this is what we do at nap time because I tell her it is time to take a rest, then she asks if I am going to take a rest, my answer... YES!), "Oh No", and "Ewwwwwww"! haha

*Social: She loves playing outside and with other kids, and loves when we have play dates with friends! We go to story time on Thursdays and she loves watching all of the older kids and follows right along with them. She still loves waving and saying hi to people and will give hugs and kisses when we ask her to. She has really started to get shy recently in certain situations and will hold onto my leg until she is comfortable (which is usually within seconds).  Other than that she is a typical almost 2 year old... wants to play, play, play! Charli is also obsessed with boo boo's right now (as I'm pretty sure she gets a new one almost every day somehow). She wrote on herself yesterday when daddy was letting her color a piece of paper with a pen and she ran over to me and said "Ohhhhhh No Mama... Boo Boo" haha!

Happy 22 Months Charli Adele!
You are such an amazing little girl and we love you so much!
Your bubba is going to be the luckiest little boy to have you as his big sister!
