I hope everyone had a fabulous Friday! Yay for the weekend!
Pumpkin Patching and October go together like Tequila and salt... It's just what you do and it is by far my favorite thing about the month and if I could I would go every weekend (or day lets be honest). This year has been a little different though because Steven has been gone the entire month (except for 24 hours here and 24 hours there) and for me, going to the pumpkin patch is something I would prefer to do as a family. It's our tradition. So I held out going until we could somehow squeeze it into one of the 24 hours daddy was in town and that my friends happened to be this week!
There are a couple of really awesome farms in the surrounding areas that have tractor rides, corn mazes, animals, you name it, but since it is a bit of a drive and we were in a time crunch we opted to go to a smaller pumpkin patch just down the road. As we pulled up to it you would have thought we were at the most amazing pumpkin patch ever
"Ahhhhhhh, there it is, there it is, LOOK AT ALL THE PUNKINS, I so ets-sited"
Charli exclaimed!
We grabbed our picnic lunch, climbed out of the car, and Charli high tailed it to the pumpkins!
We had such a fun time and I honestly think going to the smaller patch was the perfect thing! We basically had the place to ourselves which meant Charli got to do everything! There were some really cute things set up for the kids to play and do. There were mazes for them to crawl through, bridges to climb up, and Cinderella's Pumpkin Carriage (which you know was one little girls favorite thing!)
They even got to ride in the wagon as we picked the most perfect pumpkins to take home with us!
We had a great trip to the pumpkin patch!
I am so thankful for every little day we have with Steven and am so happy he could be a part of our family's tradition this year! Now on to making as many more visits in the next few weeks that we can! Especially since there is a little girl who has asked me every minute of the day when we are going back to the fun pumpkin patch again! ;)
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
