Weekend Update: Our lazy rainy weekend and a BBQ:

Well, it's the beginning of August which means we will be welcoming our son this month! This could have been our very last weekend as a family of 3. I have so many mixed emotions just thinking about that and was really looking forward to a fun weekend with our little lady, but of course it was a weekend of lots of rain and thunderstorms... As upset as I was that we couldn't get out to show our Charli the time of her life, I realized something... We didn't need to. This weekend wasn't about running around to place after place to make sure she was having fun, nope, this weekend was about my little family of 3, soaking in every single moment and memory (tantrums included) with each other and that is exactly what we did!

Friday didn't start as I had wished; there were tantrums, crying, timeouts, you name it. Charli and I were both frustrated and that can be a recipe for disaster. Thankfully we both got over our morning quickly and enjoyed laughing, playing, singing, dancing, and cuddling until daddy got home! Then it was more playing and enjoying our one on one time with our baby girl!

Friday evening we decided to head to the Mt. Pleasant Town Center to do some shopping. We enjoyed walking around, buying some last minute baby boy items that we needed, some dinner, and the perfect TCBY Frozen Yogurt treat!

Saturday morning Steven went for a bike ride with friends while Charli and I enjoyed a quiet morning, just us girls! We vacuumed, we dusted, we cleaned, and we did some laundry.
Steven made it home right as a nasty thunderstorm was rolling in.

After nap we headed to the mall to pick up Steven's suit for his sisters wedding in October.

And that about sums up our Saturday.

This morning we woke up to more nasty thunderstorms with lots of thunder and lightning, so decided to skip church and stay home. As we went downstairs for breakfast all I wanted was a big cold glass of chocolate milk (which I am totally craving as I type). As I opened the fridge, I discovered we had no more chocolate syrup... insert first pregnancy craving craziness!
Needless to say, Steven saw the look on my face and immediately grabbed his wallet and keys and was out the door before I started crying!

When Steven got home I was clearly happy and had not one but two cold glasses, and they were heavenly! He also surprised me with beautiful flowers and amazed me by making homemade gluten free donuts (something I have actually been craving/talking about for a few weeks now)

(We will definitely be making these again! This was a test round to see if they actually turned out, and they were really good. So next time I will make sure to do a recipe post!)

The rest of the morning was spent relaxing and catching up on some news...

Charli sat on Dadda's lap so he could read her the Sunday funnies! ;)

Followed by watching some old 90s movie about a boy and a dog that I have never seen before and found myself literally bawling crying because the dog was lost... I mean, anything about a dog is sad, but seriously, these pregnancy hormones are ridiculous right now! ;)
I'm feeling a little crazy!

After Charli's no nap nap we headed over to a friends house for a little BBQ!

Thankfully the weather cleared up and it ended up being a perfect evening so the girls could run around, chase each other, and enjoy a little swinging before dinner!
Thank you so much again Uri and Sarah for having us over! Dinner was amazing and so was the company!

We are now ending our Sunday and weekend by getting in as many Gossip Girl episodes as we can!
I am almost to the last Season and I seriously need to finish it before baby boy arrives...
It's addicting and I need to get over it already! ;)

We are looking forward to a great week and taking one day at a time until baby boy decides to make his debut, and my mom's visit next weekend!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
