Happy last "official" day of Summer friends! 
I cannot believe that tomorrow will be the first day of Fall. Especially since it still feels like 100 degrees here. I am definitely looking forward to it though and praying for some cooler temps to arrive soon! 

I swear the Seasons & Holidays just continue to get better as the kids get older and I just love watching them experience all the things that I too love. We have already been talking about Halloween and their costumes, decorating for all the things coming up, and Charli made sure to let me know "mommy, we have to do Fall activities starting this weekend... You know, things like picking apples in an orchard, making pumpkin muffins, those kinds of things" {hahaha, this girl right here, she gets it honest for sure!}. 

But before we pull out our pumpkins, and go to those orchards, I wanted to say goodbye to Summer with a look back at all the fun we were up to {and because I never shared anything on the ol blog... I have got to do better!}

Especially because you made our family whole again!!

 Thank you Summer for the wonderful memories, we sure will miss the slow pace & sleeping in...

Crew Benjamin: 4 Year Update:

Here we are yet again...
With another year for our sweet boy that has quickly passed us by. 

How in the world is he four? FOUR you guys. It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming this bundle of joy into this world. I know I talk about it every year but that is because I never ever want to forget when this boy Entered this World. Crew has been a fighter since day one, and I never want to take it for granted. When I look into those big blue eyes of his and remember watching, starring, & praying over him while his sweet itty bitty self fought so hard in the NICU. And now watching him as he is a, thriving, handsome, full of life little boy!

Oh our sweet baby boy, you have no idea how much your mommy & daddy love you. You keep us laughing and on our toes every second of the day. We can't thank the Lord enough for giving you to us. You completed our family from day one and you continue to be that rock He knew we needed! We are so proud of everything you do and can't believe you are starting school this year! We know you are going to do great things baby boy and pray that you continue to always be the kind friend that we know you are! You are so full of personality and you truly hate making people sad, you want everyone to be happy and that is such an amazing trait. If you do something wrong or mean, you immediatley cover your face or start crying trying to apologize and make up for what you just did. You our boy are such a strong lover, you constantly tell us how much you love us, and that is what our hearts are for, for love, and that we are your favorite people in the whole world. I hope we are always your favorite people and I pray you always want to hug, kiss, and snuggle your mommy & daddy! We love you so very much baby boy and we love watching you grow, learn, and experience new things each and every day!

*School Year: VPK

*Milestones: The biggest milestone this year is heading off to his very first year ever attending school. We have never put him in Preschool as we wanted him at home with me for as long as we could. Well he officially started VPK this week!  Another very big milestone was learning to swim this Summer. You guys, Crew has been terrified of the water for just over a year now and it has been crazy hard {because he has always been our water baby, so this was all new to us}, the only way we could describe it was as if he had PTSD of the pool. Well we are so happy to report that he is officially a little swimmer and fish... putting his head under the water, jumping off the side, doing cannonballs, even trying to dive and go to the bottom of the pool. It has seriously been night and day with this boy and we couldn't be more proud of him for overcoming his fear! 

*Favorite Things: his daddy, cars, boats, trucks, trains, riding his bike, getting his head and back scratched, playing with friends, swimming, golf, tennis, running, tackling, acting like a crazy person, and eating all the snacks!

Crew's Corner: My Very First Day of School:

Today is the day

I try something new

It's the first time mommy,

For the very first time!

Charli & Crew's Birthday Invitation: A joint party:

Happy Monday Friends! 

It's that time of year again... Summer Birthday's, which mean invitation time! We are celebrating this year with our second annual Joint Birthday Bash for the kids. Though their birthdays are only 3 weeks apart {with mine falling directly in between}, it was never a part of my plan to ever throw a joint birthday, but here we are, year 2 of Daddy missing all the things and us deciding to throw a combined birthday celebration to accommodate our family. 

As much as I love just having one party to focus on, I honestly wouldn't mind going back to two small parties that focus on each of our Summer babes {or maybe mommy should just simplify things for once... nah! We will see what next year brings}. But for today & for this year it is all about the two of them together again and I couldn't be more excited to celebrate our sweet summer babes, golf style! 

I came up with this adorable theme for them this year because a certain little guy is turning 4, and well... FOOOOORE {clearly it had to be done!!}. It does helps that both of our kids actually really love golf {they love playing it & watching it} so it is a total win! The kids are getting so excited as I have been setting things up and they cannot wait to celebrate soon with all of their family & friends! They can't wait to have lots of fun, their PAR-TEE is sure to be a Hole in One!
