Thanksgiving has come & gone and November is at its end, but before I get into all things Christmas I wanted to share a quick recap of our Thanksgiving 2018!
This year was truly special and we have so much to be thankful for. The biggest being Steven making it home from Deployment! Though he still hasn't been "fully here" because of a ton of training & schools, we were so incredibly thankful that he was at least able to be home this year on Thanksgiving Day with us! My brother & soon to be Sister-in-Law also traveled down from Connecticut to be here as well and that is something we were all so thankful for! Being able to spend some good quality time with them was just what we all needed!
The Thanksgiving festivities kicked off with attending Crew's Thanksgiving Feast at school! Charli didn't have one this year so it was all about the littlest Turkey!
Crew was so excited that his Daddy was there at his school and kept pointing him out shouting "guys, guys, dats my daddy, right there". We loved every second of watching our sweet boy sing his little heart out. Proud parent moment for sure! ;)
Thanksgiving Day arrived and I was so excited to have Steven here so he could do all the cooking this year {Steven is the cook in the family and makes everything Gluten Free from scratch! He's seriously amazing, but sorry, he's taken! ;)}. We kicked off the morning with Champagne, Pumpkin Bread, and The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade of course.
I then started setting the tables. This is the third year we have hosted, and with each year it gets better and better. It is so nice not having to rush around with the kids and just letting them play and be in their own element. Charli loved helping me set the tables and gave me a lot of design advice {I love how much she already enjoys these kinds of things}. I couldn't be happier with our tablescape this year. I was really going for something clean, simple & elegant. I made the decision this year that whatever I created is what I will do for Thanksgiving from here on out to make it easier on myself! And I couldn't love it more!
The rest of the day was filled with Family, Food, Football, Laughter, and making so many lasting memories together. I really couldn't have asked for a better day with our family!
We are truly blessed!
Now bring on December!!
