Charli Adele: Seven Year Update:

And just like that, another trip around the sun has come and gone in a blink of an eye. The years are truly flying right by us and it seems like it won't be slowing down any time soon. Our baby girl is SEVEN you guys... We have a SEVEN year old, that just doesn't quite seem fair or possible, but here we are, celebrating our baby girl who has truly grown into such a beautiful big kid! As much as we would love to keep her little forever, we absolutely love watching her grow up and see the person she is becoming!

Charli Adele,
Where do I even begin sweet girl. First and foremost, mommy & daddy couldn't be prouder of everything you do and everything you accomplished throughout this year. You never cease to amaze us. You are growing into such a beautiful young lady and everyone who meets you couldn't love you more. You totally rocked First Grade and we know just how excited you are to start Second! You are smart beyond your years and the way your brain works truly amazes your daddy and I. To this day, you are still the most logical little girl we have ever met... You overthink, question, and analyze everything. As much as it annoys me sometimes with you asking ALL the questions, don't ever stop. Your personality is truly one of a kind... You can be a total spit fire at home with us, but out in public, at school, or any social event, you are the sweetest most caring and loving little girl. You are a peacemaker and want everyone to get along and be happy. We have never received one bad report from any of your teachers, in fact they are always out of this world perfect... That they could never imagine a mean bone in your body!

We are so excited to watch you grow this year and to see where this year takes you! It is going to be a big year with your brother joining you at School. I hope and pray that you watch out for your little brother and take care of him at that big school. Mommy and Daddy love you so much honey and we hope you have the best year yet! Happy 7th Birthday sweet girl!

Charli's Seventh Birthday Invitation:

It is officially our little girl's Birthday week... And I can't even begin to tell you how crazy it is to think that by Friday, she will be SEVEN... Seven you guys...
Where oh where did all of these years go.

I am so excited to share her birthday invitation with you all this year, as the theme behind her party was all because it is something she has been really wanting to do... Selling Lemonade from a Lemonade Stand! She has been begging for Daddy to build her one and we felt this was the perfect opportunity to do so! As soon as we were finished with our project, we walked Charli outside and her exact words were "oh my stars, my dream is coming true"!

After having to do pretty giant sized joint birthday parties the past two years because Steven was gone {which you can find here and here} We were all about doing two individual and very small birthday parties this year. Though our Summer babes Birthdays are only 3 weeks apart {and it honestly was nice only having to worry about one party}, they are both very excited to celebrate individually this year! Charli decided on inviting just a few of her closest little girlfriends, and we are keeping it at just that with a few family members who will be there.

We couldn't be more excited for her little Lunch & Lemonade Birthday party and still can't wrap our minds around the fact that she will be SEVEN!

And if you need any other inspiration for birthdays or birthday invitations, here is a look at birthday invitations past!

Thank you again Aunt Christie for another perfectly beautiful invitation for our sweet Charli Adele!

Crew's Corner: My Last Day of VPK:

from crew's carseat:

It feels like just yesterday
I stepped foot in those halls
And started my journey
Within the Preschool walls

It was my very first year
Of ever going to school
I tried my very hardest
To follow each rule

I had the very best teacher
And made so many friends
It truly was the best
I didn't want it to end

I learned so much
While in VPK
"We are so proud of you"
Mommy & Daddy would say

But now here I am
I've had my last day
And am officially a graduate
of VPK!

{We cannot believe our Preschool days are officially over and we are moving into yet another new chapter of our lives! We couldn't be more proud of all the things Crew learned and accomplished this year. But before Kindergarten starts...
Summer is here!}

Easter 2019:

Easter has come and gone and we are headed into the last weekend of April. I can't believe how fast this month has gone by and that the kids will be out of school for the Summer in a short 5 weeks. I am so looking forward to the slower pace/care free days that Summer brings. Especially after these past 9 days... Leading up to Easter we were running a million miles a minute, had about 72 things to do a day, and all the events to attend. It was hectic & crazy, but I wouldn't have changed a thing, because Daddy was actually home this year and we were able to make all the memories together!

We had both of the kids Egg Hunts & Easter Parties to attend at their schools right before we headed into Easter Break. I am so thankful my mom could join us, especially because Charli's was the only one I could make it to.

She had the absolute best day and even found the "prize egg" {which apparently was a big deal ;)}. Sadly, the very next day was Crew's Easter Celebration at school along with my Pre-Op appointment all the way across town {I have a minor surgery coming up in a couple weeks}. At the last minute my mom said not to worry and that she would get to Crew's school to be there for him. I cannot tell you how thankful I am that she was able to do that, as I tried booking it from the hospital to make even just the end of his party. I unfortunately missed the entire thing and was honestly crushed... {I absolutely hate when my medical issues get in the way and am unable to be there for our children}. But the picture that my mom took of our sweet boy as he walked out and immediatley spotted his Nana, says it all...

{PURE Happiness!!!! Gosh I could gobble him up!}

The weekend rolled around and both the kids and Steven had Friday and Monday off, so trying to fit in ALL the things is what we did! We had our Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt {which sadly the kids actually missed the entire egg hunt because we were 4 minutes late... oops} but they had the most amazing time running around with all of their friends doing the other activities that were set up!

We dyed all the Easter Eggs we could

Then Easter morning arrived and we had two very excited kiddos. Unfortunately we missed sunrise service {which is all of our favorite tradition... Charli cried, but we made up for it by just discussing Jesus that morning with her}. "Alleluia! Christ is Risen. The Lord is Risen indeed. Alleluia".

We continued the morning by seeing if the Easter Bunny came, and he sure did!

It was truly the perfect morning as a family, watching the kids hunt for eggs, seeing the simple excitement on their little faces, and the pure innocence that is childhood!

We spent the rest of the morning gearing up for family & friends to arrive. We celebrated Easter with the best gathering of loved ones in or home and couldn't have asked for a better day. What made it even more special was Uncle Dodo was in town!

Charli and Crew love their uncles something fierce and we are so blessed to have had both of them with us this Holiday!

We had a truly amazing Easter and hope that everyone had the best day with your loved ones as well!

Valentine "Cards" 2019:

Happy Monday Friends & Happy Valentines Week! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and that your Monday is off to a good start!

I love sharing the kids Valentine's every year in case there is anyone out there who is scrambling for any last minute ideas! I always let our kids decide on what they want to hand out to all of their little friends and then from there I make little tags to attach. I feel it is a very simple way to make it just a little more personal. This year Charli wanted to do Goldfish and after much thought {pretty sure he changed his mind a bazillion times} Crew ended up deciding on Gummy Bears.

Valentine, You Are "BEARY" Awesome"

"Out of all the Fish in the sea, I'm glad you're Friends with me"

Thanks to Vista Print for always making it so easy to create fun little tags!
Both Charli & Crew have addressed each of them and are ready to hand them out to their friends!

Happy almost Valentine's Day!
