Catching Moments: {40/52}:

*Taking a Break...
We were out front the other day and Crew sat down to take a break so he could watch the big Tree Trucks across the street work. We still have a ton of debris along the sides of our roads from the Hurricane and our neighbors lost 4 trees so have had trucks just about every day in front of our house. Crew loves them all.

*Practice makes Perfect mommy...
I love how much this little girl loves Soccer... Barefoot and in a dress, it doesn't matter, she wants to practice, practice, practice!!! Oh it makes me giddy!!

My Moms 60th Birthday: Key West Style:

Over the Summer we celebrated my mom turning 60!
It is crazy to think about because she doesn't look it and is definitely cooler than any 60 year old I know! She decided on a family trip to the Keys as she has actually never been and the laid back island life is totally her style {because if you know my mom you know her love for the Caribbean as her and my dad lived in St. Croix for many years}.

We headed down with some of my parents very best friends {who we grew up calling Aunt & Uncle} and their daughters {who we grew up calling our cousins} and then some of my best friends made the trip down as well to celebrate! My mom shares her birthday with my cousin Emily so we were excited to not only celebrate one birthday girl but two!

We spent the long weekend walking around downtown, shopping, drinking, eating, people watching, beach cruising, boating, beaching, snorkling, and doing everything The Keys has to offer! It truly was such a fun and relaxing time spent with family and friends!

Dress Up Your Popcorn Challenge: Pumpkin Spice Popcorn:

Happy Monday Friends!

October is National Popcorn Popping Month and SkinnyPop Popcorn is having a "Dress up your popcorn challenge" so joining in was a no brainer! We love popcorn in our home so any reason to make it is good for me!

Having two little ones running around the house I wanted something that would be quick and simple to make and of course something Gluten Free so that mommy could enjoy it as well! We have already made this recipe several times and everybody in the house LOVES it! It is a great afternoon snack with the kids or the perfect evening snack cuddled up with the hubs watching Hocus Pocus {because you KNOW I have already watched it 10 times... Yep!!}

It's the perfect amount of sweet to salt ratio without being sticky or messy and I love that there is no candy or anything unhealthy in it. And who doesn't love Pumpkin Spice everything during Fall/Halloween, let's be honest! ;)

Pumpkin Spice Popcorn

Ingredients:
*3 TBS Vegetable Oil or Coconut Oil
*1/3 cup Popcorn Kernels
*3 TBS Brown Sugar
*Pumpkin Pie Spice

Preparation:
*In a medium to large saucepan, heat oil.
*While oil is heating, measure out brown sugar into separate bowl so it's ready to go.
*Pour 1/3 cup kernels into oil and move pan continuously over heat. After about 1 minute stir in brown sugar, cover, and  continue to move saucepan until kernels start to pop.
*Move saucepan rapidly over heat holding onto lid {be careful}  while kernel pop.
*Place popcorn into large bowl, sprinkle pumpkin pie spice seasoning, a little salt to taste, and stir.
*Enjoy!

Thank you SkinnyPop for a fun challenge!
Happy Popping!

Catching Moments: {39/52}:

*We survived Hurricane Matthew and our home is safe & sound. Born and raised in Jacksonville and through all the Hurricanes and Tropical Storms I have seen and been through this one was definitely different. Our home was under evacuation so we headed to my parents which was in a much safer area. A ton of debris, a couple of down trees, and no power at our house but over all we weathered just fine and yes still in the middle of renovation stage 1... Thank you for all the love and prayers checking in on us this past week! xoxo*

*Post Hurricane Pool Party...
The day after the Hurricane we helped my parents clean all the crazy debris and as soon as the pool was clean the kids jumped right in! It may be Fall but you know how Florida is! ;) Charli was all giggles as she floated past me in the "lazy river" {how my parents jets are it will push you in a circle in their pool!}

*Puppy or Child...
I seriously question whether I am actually raising a child sometimes... This kid STILL eats the dog food, dog bones, and drinks out of the dogs water dish {on all fours like a dog}... He also enjoys throwing his food on the ground and then eating it on all fours as well... aye aye aye...
