Weekend update: April Drill:

Friday was just one of those feel good days... Maybe it was the 85 degree weather, maybe the sunshine, maybe being incredibly joyful that I get to spend all day every day with my little side kick; running errands, shopping, playing, you name it, or maybe it was just me realizing how incredibly thankful I am to have the most wonderful and adorable family and knowing we are bringing another little life into our world...
Whatever the reason, it was just a great day!

We did some shopping and errand running, we took some naps, we enjoyed the beautiful weather that Charleston had to offer, and we waited for Daddy to get home!

During Lent, we fast from meat on Friday's, so Steven picked up some fresh king crab legs for us to steam for dinner!

It was an amazing dinner and Charli absolutely loved the crab!
It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!

Steven was up bright and early Saturday morning to head into work. Charli and I had a pretty lazy morning, and the rest of our day consisted of cleaning, organizing, playing, and going through Charli's newborn clothes and pulling out any gender neutral items we had and making piles to sell and give away.

Steven was able to come home a little early on Saturday (woohoo), so as soon as Charli woke up from her nap we headed into Summerville to check out one of the largest Farmer's Markets/Festivals in town...
Flowertown Festival

Spring time here in Charleston has been beautiful so far! I have loved watching everything start to grow and bloom. Well in the town of Summerville, it is no different. The town is covered in beautiful colors; from the azaleas to the wisteria, it is breathtaking. So every Spring the town holds what is one of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast... The Flowertown Festival.
This was something we really wanted to participate in, and I am so thankful that we were able to!

From the food and drinks:

The people and vendors galore:

To new toys:

To of course, stopping, and smelling all the flowers:

It was an amazing day and we had a blast!

And we ended our day by picking up some pizza on the way home!

Sunday morning, Steven was back to work, while Charli and I had our cereal

And had another very lazy day!
Today was a bit cooler, gloomy, grey, and rainy...
Perfect lazy day weather if you ask me!
So of course today consisted of more cleaning, some laundry, playing inside, and naps for both Charli and I!

The weather cleared some by the time Charli woke up from her nap so we headed outside to play for a little bit before more rain hit.

 Then Daddy came home!
And while I was making dinner, saw this happening...

 I Die!
Is that not the most incredibly adorable thing you have ever seen? She got all of her stuffed animals ready for dinner and started reading to them!
Heart. Exploded!

And we ended our evening with a family dance party (Charli LOVES music and dancing)!

And because it was a Drill Weekend, we get to have Daddy home with us tomorrow!! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as well!
We are looking forward to Grammy's visit this week!

Charli in Charleston: Brother or Sister:

From Charli's Chair:

A Brother or Sister
What will it be
That's what Mommy and Daddy kept asking me
A bow tie or pearls
What will it wear
Mommy and Daddy found out
And told me to share...

I'm getting a Brother
I'll welcome the blue
Bubba, Mommy, Daddy, and I can't wait to meet you!

Until my next adventure...

My Style: Date Night:

I love any excuse to get dressed up, so with our Anniversary being last week we were able to do just that!

Our babysitter was available which meant the hubby and I could celebrate in style!
We headed Downtown for dinner to one of the nicest restaurants here in Charleston, Halls Chophouse (I wish we could say we were related) ;) but we are not!
I love keeping nice restaurants like Halls saved up for a very special occasion, it really makes it such a special evening!

It was truly the perfect evening spent with my love, celebrating our love, and talking about our two little loves!

And you know I had us coordinated!
I love that my man will wear pink, but I love how subtle the pink is. It was the perfect contrast to my dress! And this dress... Let me just tell you... This is my new favorite piece in my closet right now. My mom got this for me when she was in town visiting and it is by a local designer! It is lightweight, comfortable, and the perfect style/fit for being pregnant or not. The synched tie around the waist can grow with my growing belly all Summer long!
Thanks again mom for this amazing dress!
